A bow with a bowstring from twisted plant fibre. The bow is broadly in the middle and tapers towards the ends. On the inner surface, it is formed convexly and outside slightly concavely. The bowstring is fixed to the bow by knots. Below the knots, there are elements from wrapped resp. braided thin bast. In some places, the bowstring is reinforced with bast fibre.
The provenance is not cleared. Form, size and material of the bow are indicative for an origin from South America. However, a clear determination could not be made so far.
