Three shafts of arrows from wood without the arrowheads. The tips were probably put into the shafts. Two of the shafts are wrapped with bast resp. with a thread (that was presumably applied subsequently). All three arrows have a fletching that is fixed with bast.
On one of the shafts there are only remains of the feathers existing. For the fletching, the ends of the split feathers were fixed to the end of the shaft so that they jut out from the shaft. Then the feathers were bended upwards and their quill was tied down to the shaft.
The three arrows have notches and at the notches of two of the arrows a bulb of bast is preserved.
The provenance of the shafts is not cleared. The preserved fletching and the tip indicate a potential origin from Central Africa.
