Diese Didrachme wurde in der Zeit um 500 v. Chr. in der sizilianischen Stadt Akragas geprägt – lateinisch Agragantum oder Agrigentum und im Mittelalter Girgenti genannt. Auf dem Avers ist ein Adler mit der im Münzbild erscheinenden Inschrift AKPA abgebildet. Ausgeschrieben würde die Münzinschrift AKPAΓANTINOΣ (Akragantinos) lauten. Der Revers zeigt eine Krabbe.
