Aegidius Sadeler (1570-1629) arbeitete als kaiserlicher Kupferstecher für Rudolph II am Prager Hof. Die Landschaft mit großen Felsbogen ist Teil einer Folge von acht böhmischen Land- und Flussansichten nach Pieter Stevens (ca. 1567-nach 1624), der ebenfalls in Prag tätig war. Dramatisch komponiert wird der Gegensatz von wilder Natur und idylischem Landschaftsprospekt. Bez. u. Mitte "Petrus Stephani Inuent."
