Bei dem aufwendig gefertigten Modell handelt es sich um die maßstabsgetreue Nachbildung eines eisernen Fünfundzwanzigpfünders auf einer schweren Festungslafette um 1850. Geschütze dieser Art wurden auch in der Festung Rastatt genutzt.
